Editing Isn't Easy Guys!

Throughout the editing process, our group ran into so many issues that really stressed us out. Editing was NOT easy, thats for sure. But we were able to persevere in the end and get it done so that we could move on towards finishing our project all together. So, here are a few editing interruptions and issues we ran into throughout the ENTIRETY of this project thus far, at least when it comes to editing that is.

The first problem that we ran into was us literally DOWNLOADING DaVinci Resolve 17. Now, our group knew that this was the application that we wanted to use, because it fit the majority of our needs and also had a feature where multiple people can collaborate on the same file. However, downloading this was SUCH A DRAG honestly. At first I thought it was just me that was having this issue, but the other group members also ran into this issue, which became a huge waste of time at some point. The first ever day that we got together to use DaVinci, we wasted the whole time waiting for the application to run. It wasn't good. But thankfully after some patience and some YouTube videos, we were able to get the application running and edit together.

Oh you thought that was it? Yeah, I wish it was... lol. After FINALLY getting the application to work, we collectively edited on Aaliyah's computer because the rest of our applications were still downloading. Then when we went home, we were in no panic to finish editing because we knew that we could all compatibly edit together. Right? WRONG. When Aaliyah sent the file over to us from that day of editing, all all the files were in red with the words "not found" or "corrupted" on them. Turns out, everyone has to have the SAME files on each individual device... yikes.

So, we decided to work with what we had, and continue to use DaVinci Resolve 17 for the time period. Which really just meant that we each had to download ALL the files that we needed to edit. Lets just say that my poor laptop was downloading files for a whileeeee. But, this is all part of the learning process, and now we know for next time. We were able to fix all those issues, and continue to collectively edit to the best of our ability.
