Second Day of Filming

(I hate how the back of my shirt looks here, but its a good photo so.)

We finally made it to our second day of filming, and to be honest, this one was a lot more entertaining than the last!

I think the main reason that our group was able to enjoy ourselves more the second time around filming was because since the first day of filming, we were able to now get in the groove and know what we needed to do. For the second day, we knew exactly what we needed to film, where to meet up, and what time worked best for everyone.

This day, we woke up pretty early, meeting up at a local library around 10:30. When we originally got there, we were going to go into one of the rooms to begin filming, but it was occupied, so we had about like an hour of time to kill. Instead of sitting around though, we decided that it was best if we shot some other scenes that weren't required for us to be in the room exactly. And that is what we did.

Here is Jacob getting ready to star in the drone shot for our establishing shot of the film.

We decided to walk to the Miramar Police Headquarters, where we were able to record the drone shot that we needed. One of our friends, Xander, helped us throughout this process, making sure that we were getting an outsider's perspective on our film as it was being made. Jacob starred in the lovely drone shot, and after a few attempts of making sure he wasn't going to get hit by ongoing traffic, we ventured on back to the library because it was really hot and quite frankly, I was DYING in the outfit I was wearing. Seriously.

So, we went back into the library, and with some time to kill still, we made the files that we were going to use in the interrogation scenes. This meant that we had to get close-up photos of each of us in our outfits, which was really funny to do, lol. Then we went to the printers that were accessible at the library, printed out the photos of our lovely faces (that looked really weird btw) and by the time that was done, the room for filming was available.

Here is Jacob taking Tyler's file folder. (Taking these was way harder than it looks)

LOL and here are the photos we ended up printing...

Once in the room, we immediately began prepping the room, organizing it how we envisioned and formatting everything to look like an interrogation room. Once we drew the mugshot background and got the table ready, we went ahead and started filming, first doing everyone's mugshots and then moving on to the interrogation scenes, which were easier to do than I expected.

Overall, we got all the scenes that we needed, and now we just need to finish editing and putting it all together!

Jacob was very proud here because he was able to secure us the room.
